How Much Is Your Kubernetes Cluster Wasting?
Most clusters run at 35 to 50% real utilization. Enter your monthly spend, get an instant estimate of the waste, broken down by where it's actually coming from.
Kubernetes waste calculator
Almost all Kubernetes waste comes from four predictable leaks:
What's your monthly Kubernetes / cluster spend?
Do you right-size resource requests based on actual usage (e.g. with VPA)?
Are you using Karpenter (or a similar bin-packing-aware autoscaler)?
Do you run dev/staging environments that stay on 24/7?
Do you regularly sweep for orphaned storage and load balancers?

FAQs
Questions, Answered.
How accurate is this estimate?
It's a self-reported estimate based on published industry benchmarks (clusters typically run at 35 to 50% real utilization), not a scan of your actual cluster. Treat it as a starting point, not an audit.
Where do these percentages come from?
From our own published Kubernetes cost research: over-requested resources (15 to 25% of spend), poor bin-packing (5 to 15%), idle non-production environments (5 to 10%), and orphaned storage and load balancers (1 to 5%).

Can you check my actual cluster instead of an estimate?
Yes, that's what a Cloud Infrastructure Assessment is for, a senior engineer reviews your real usage data instead of a self-reported number.
